Perisher Valley village is a large collection of mostly ski lodges that are geographically very dispersed (the history of this is related to getting national park permits and needing to keep lodges apart to deal with septic waste), and the lodges can sit as far as 1.5km away from the main buildings and lifts of Perisher Resort.. How to Get the Best out of Perisher Travel Insider
Getting to The Station. Perisher Ski Resort is 37kms from The Station, about a 40 minute drive in good weather conditions. In winter, road conditions can be unpredictable. You can experience snow, black ice and high winds. Please watch out for road signs and drive carefully. You must always carry snow chains when driving up to Perisher.. You can get between all the areas within the resort on ski or snowboard, and by the lifts if you can ski at level 3, consult the maps and the home runs are well signposted. From Blue Cow to Perisher Valley, follow the Perisher Home Run from the top of the Pleasant Valley Quad at Blue Cow. From there the easiest way is on the Happy Valley run.
